In his final semester at Swinburne University, William was set a project to design the branding and mobile app experience for a fictional Melbourne walking tour company, with full creative freedom over theme and execution. He built the concept around Melbourne's sporting history, designing a digital experience that guided users through key sporting landmarks with audio, visuals and maps.

The brief was to design a mobile app people could easily use while walking, one that was visually engaging, simple to navigate and built for on-the-go interaction. It also called for a full brand identity that felt cohesive with Melbourne's sporting culture.
That meant managing the full UX process from research through to a working interactive prototype. Along the way he needed to use mobile-specific features like location awareness and touch gestures, while keeping the interface clean and legible enough to use outdoors.
